Too bad he wasn't passing closer to me in Virginia this weekend!
I might have been able to fix him up with another speedocable or cluster if need be!

It wont be the festivas fault if he doesn't make it. It will be the previous owners fault for neglecting it. Stock , factory, Festivas NEVER break down with the proper maintenance. The wife and I have totaled close to 600,000 miles in them ( and climbing) without being stranded... ever. Limped home a couple of times in extreme cold conditions but they always made it.

Well I was awake for 30hours straight, got stuck in traffic at Nashville for 2hours, but I made it. With no working wipers, no heat blower motor, no stereo, and a rich runnin engine, but I got it home and "Oliver" didn't once die or even feel like it was going to crap out on me. Talk about a reliable car. I'll post som pics later today.

I was at work today, (Auto Zone) and ol' SIBladerunner came in in his new Festy to get parts. My shift was about over, so he hung around and took me for a ride in Oliver afterward. He's got himself a solid car, it would have to be to make it back from Tampa. Just a few issues to work out. That's the first order of business tomorrow in our engine management class. Gotta love having access to a Ford OBD I code reader. I have pics of it too, but I'll wait for SIBladerunner to post his first.

too much gasoline, not enough air in the cylinders. makes it smoke a lot, and sometimes run pretty bad.
