I really don't care if someone doesn't like my Festiva's. (leaves more for us) But don't come try to be nice and talk about us behind our backs. And I hope no one here goes over there and stoops to there level and starts a flame war. Some people aren't worth the effort.

If Festivas are clown cars, and FF.com members smoke crack just because we like that car and see some potential in them, I must be a crack-addicted clown then... :laughing6:

Anyone else know what a 94 Corrola is? I've searched and searched... Must be exotic or something.

Just to give you an idea of what our "polished turds" are capable of compared to a 1994 Toyota Corolla check these out.
                    1st a 1988 Festiva
Search by Model. Search by make for fuel efficient new and used cars and trucks

                    1989
Search by Model. Search by make for fuel efficient new and used cars and trucks

                    1990(90-93 are identical)
Search by Model. Search by make for fuel efficient new and used cars and trucks

The automatics were the worst of the bunch, BUT still did better than a Corolla with a 5 speed.

And finally for comparison his 1994 Toyota Corolla.
Search by Model. Search by make for fuel efficient new and used cars and trucks

So while we may drive "polished turds" we are using less gas and dumping less greenhouse gases in the air. Now whos driving the turd?

i mean he is the CLOWN not us or our cars. i use that saying when i talk about some one who is mentally lacking.

maybe i should have said in his case,"different strokes for different folks."

Crack is such a harsh word, I prefer to call it Rock Cocaine. It sounds more refined.
But seriously now, act like that on other forums and to be buddy buddy on this forum. That's just absurd.

I picked an average festiva 91L 135,000 on it in good conditions. Blue book says $600. Say I driving a pickup that gets 20 MPG. Say I drive 250 miles a week.

                              Truck 250miles / 20 MPG = 12.5 gals X $3.25/ gal = 40.63
                              Festiva 250 miles/40 MPG= 6.25 gals X $3.25/ gal = 20.31
                              Savings =20.32/ week
                              $600/20.32 =29.53 week payoff.

A little over half a year and its paid for itself. Assuming you only drive 250 per week and that gas will only be $3.25. What other car can pay for itself in that short of time? Not a corolla at $2500. The festiva starts putting money in your pocket after six months plus the festiva will still be worth $600 six months later. Yeah that corolla was a great investment.

Just thought Id rsiprocate. Thanks for accomidating me.
