  • Today.
Purchased a bike rack, $28. Found a driver's side headlight assembly to replace the one that rusted up. Bought some plastic license plate bolts. Custom plate coming: I'm planning on taking a piece of chloroplast, cut it to plate size, print out a custom design on a transparency with a color laser printer, and putting it all under a plate protector on the front.

Fixed the horn. Was dirty quick connects.

Neighbor offered me $2000 for the car after riding in it. Wife said to hold out for more so we can buy another.

            • i put air in the tires, checked the filter, put gas in it. my theory, If it aint broke, dont fix it. But i did have to put two new bolts in my ball joints week ago after one broke and i had to have car towed home, does that count

                    • i blew up one fo my tires yesterday doing a burnout... so today i found two snow tires that fit my 14" rims, and they are HUGE (195/70/14). it looks like a mini monster truck, at least on the front... it still has the stock 12"s on the rear... i also 3 12v plugs in the glove box. i found a beat up rear parce shelf at a junk yard, so i used that as a template to make a good plywood one. i think thats it...

                          • Gave the car another detail today on preperation for it's first major showing this weekend. Apart from that i'm still waiting to hear back on the de-tuning for registration.

                            • Trying to ham-fist in a set of speakers into the doors. Should be easy, but I seem to be doing everrything wrong. I feel better now that I have abandoned form versus function.

There is something greatly liberating about having an ugly/trashed car. :|
