    Good point, Fresh!

Other polls can have the same drawbacks, including polls on guns.

Always look to the poll instrument to see what biases may be "built in" before drawing conclusions.

I am very pro gun rights but I don't think being asked to remove a picture that some may find offensive is violating those rights. It's just a picture who cares either way. I mean if they told him he wasn't allowed to carry his weapon when he went to a meet or something that would be a different story. Whoever runs this site has the right to ban whatever they want just like a business owner has the right to ban firearms in their business. I won't shop in a store that has "no firearms" signs and I make sure I let the owner know he lost my business. But I respect his rights whether I think he is wrong or not. One incedent come to mind, I walk into a GUN STORE prepared to buy myself a new AR-15 I had been wanting(close to $1000 gun), wearing my sidearm visible which I normally don't do but I had just been target shooting and hadn't taken the time to switch to my inside waistband holster. The employee there told me no firearms without locks were allowed so I made him aware of the sale he lost because of this rule and left.

But if I am not allowed to have a picture of a guy holding a gun in my avatar, we should move all those video clips and pictures of guns to the arena, just to keep things fair. Especially those pics and videos involving mud flaps.
I dont or wouldnt put guns and soft porn in the same catagory. You see guns all day long on network tv but to see soft porn you have to buy cable. Im sure the peoples kids that asked you to remove it saw the movie. Or any other movie for that matter. I think its stuped of people to think that kids would be influenced by an avitar. Some people just need to teach there kids about guns so they understand them not just shelter them from seeing guns. If a kid understands what guns are about they are less courious and less likely to pick one up and shoot themselfes or someone else by accident. The ones that arent tought about guns are usally the ones that pick one up and point them at someone in my opinion.

I dont think anyone was actually ever offended by nonames avatar. It came up in a religious debate that started as an avatar debate in the arena. If nonames avatar was ever offensive or not was just a case in point in the debate. Thats how I remember it anyway.

I found the purple hippo offensive and I fear that if children see a purple hippo they may go out and try to paint hippos purple, and thats just not right. Im sorry Wes !

I knew there was a reason I stayed out of the arena.
I have no problem with his avatar and yes I think he should bring it back.
Very distenctive, always easy to pick out his posts.

I'm still trying to find a picture of my old 5.0ZONE licence plate to post as my avatar.

I think the gun picture helps when enforcing the rules in the FS/W area. I use to think that was actually a picture of noname.
