    Interesting note about the Pacer; it was originally designed for a rotary engine...AMC was very heavily into development but ended up having to use their trusty inline 6 instead.
    If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

        This is also the reason for the HUGE (and I think ugly) grille on the later models. The earlier models with the small grille tended to overheat.

                Actually, IIRC, the reason for the enlarged, raised hood on the later model Pacers is so the V8 would fit.
                The original front end sloped down too much.
                If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.
