So why did they drop the power steering? I love my 92 GL, but lord the steering can be heavy at times.

Ill do without the fluid leaks and extra load on the engine. As well as under-hood clutter.

The more you drive it, the more you get used to it. My two manual steering Festivas steer like a dream compared to my '89 Escort with manual steering, so it could be worse.

Bring the tire pressure up to 30+ psi where it belongs and steering effort is greatly reduced.

If you can find a PS set up from a 90 or 91 you could put it in your car.

I couldnt imagine what power steering would be like in our cars. I didnt even know it was offered.

I run 50 psi in my tires for what its worth. Theyre junkyard tires so Im not worried about uneven wear.

I have a small wheel. It'd be nice to have once in awhile.
Of course the red makes it go faster..

no way.... power steerings is for old grandma's with a cane! (no offense to our senior members )

but i love my car b/c of the simplicity, no PS, no AC, just a motor and a unibody... heck i even ditched most of my interior and washer fluid etc.
