let me star this off with a little intro and my plans for the festy

i just biught the car saturday for 500 bucks
my parents went in half since they went in on my brother and sisters cars.
im only 15 and currently have no job
i am looking to rock the festy for about a year and then get a bmw as a daily and drive the festy in the winter

now for the mechanicals

i do believe i over payed for the car but it only cost ME 250 bucks and its got its fair share of wear and tear
we got the wipers fixed
the rod from the motor to the wipers was disconnected

i think it needs a new gage cluster b/c the car has said 197828 mi9les and weve driven it at least 15 miles since we got it
the cable does seem awfully loose from the firewall to the tranny(car is a 5 speed)

I think the fender is salvageable(just gotta get it off and pound the dents out)

the only reason i wanna do a motor swap is b/c the car seems like it has had a bit of a rough life and i don't want it quitin on me
my dad doesn't want me to do it but just by looking at it it looks pretty simple to do
(my dads been a mechanic for some 25 years so yes we've done motor swaps in numerous cars and we do have the tools)
I'm not looking for any hi performance stuff escpecially if its gonna cost more money

i was just wonderin the basics on these cars seeings this is the first one either of us has messed with

to be 100% honest i bought a festy b/c it was the goofiest car i could think of
untill i move on to a bimmer
