yeah i will admit if u fold back the front seat there is a lot of room, i use to always foldback the rear seat, and the front seat with the headrest removed, and slide in my kaw 650 jetski, and close the hatch lol it was so funny to see peoples faces when i would drive down the road, but it was nice cause i would just back the car right up to the launch, pull out the ski, and the go park anywhere i wanted lol lot easier then with a trailer

I don't think it was that uncomfortable when I slept in my Festiva years ago. Instead I had the seats all the way back with one foot on the dash/wheel and the other out the window...

If you have a 88-89 LX you can remove the headrests and fold the front seats down and fold the rear seat flat and the whole car becomes a bed!!

i have a 88 lx, but its seats are very different from what you describe, they look like what was in my 1990 eclipse, which is fine, ive slept on those too many times to count. quite comfortable.
is not sposed ta do that...

When you start to fold the rear seat forward lift up on the bottom section and fold the top part back flat tucking it under the hooks that secure it.
