anybody know what sized the aspire and the festive axle nut is in the centre of the hub?

Sad to say that it varies.
OEM's seem to be 32mm, but after market vary from 28 to 32mm.

Everyone, till I got the turquoise fester, was 32mm.
I bet I looked funny when I put the old impact wrench with the 32mm socket on it and it just spun!

I just went to the jy yesterday after reading this, intending to pull some aspire brake & suspension parts. For one thing, I couldnt find a 29mm nut for the life of me. For second, a 30mm nut worked on the aspire...I didnt mess with the festiva axle nut.1997 Ford Aspire, MTX, Teal, B3E - "Trusty"

I've seen 3 different socket sizes required on the various Festiva's I've worked on.
Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

when i did this the first time, one side was 1 1/8" an the other side was 1 3/16"......
so that leads me to believe that the 3 sizes mentioned above is correct..
