Man I do not know what I would do if I was told that after all the work I put into a car. Who is going to finish/pay for the rest of the repair to the car? Are they paying you back for all the work you did on it to get into the condition it is? If so then you should be able to buy another car no problem with the money. If not then they should be looking for another car themselves.
I realize you are 16 living under their roof but that is just wrong after everything you have done.

P.S. tell them I want $20.00 for that mirror switch I sold you..lol

why would you need to swap it then? I still say that is not right to watch you go through all the repairs you have, get so excited about owning this car and doing all the work yourself knowing that they were going to have you swap in an automatic or take it from you. Tell them you will teach them to drive the stick...it is your car. Get your grandfather involved...make them do what is right.

So the whole family could drive it, I know it sucks either way They don't want to learn how to drive the stick, they want it to be a auto.

Man, I was going to write a long and "detailed" article of how difficult it is/was to swap a 5 speed to auto. About how all the sensors need to be changed, all the problems I've had with mine. Fill it up with techno-babble. Then you could show them and hopefully change their mind.

Glad you got to keep YOUR car.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

I would never put that much work/money into a car that wasn't mine. I assume the title is in there name?

So i read the 1st post and I felt bad, then I read page 4 and I thought "I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!" haha.

I guess they can see your ambition. Seriously my mom wanted me to keep my escort instead of the festiva but over time she noticed how much I liked it,
