2)The Festiva is a two door hatchback with a manual transmission. We are the original owners of this car and have kept it up to date on maintenance. It has AC but it currently does not work. The Festiva has 140,000 miles on it and needs new tires.

Connor - It depends on what you're looking for.

#1 is a newer model, but looks pretty beat up. The replaced fender, missing grille, bent bumper, etc... The 90+ engines are fuel injected.

#2 is either an 88/89, based on the tail lights and "Festiva" swoosh stripe down it. They are carbed and might be a little more work for someone who isn't experienced with carbs.

The carbed motors seemed to get better gas mileage. My dad would see 45-55 MPG in his with his "granny driving" style... While the FI ones will get between 35-45, depending on your driving style.

#2 looks to be in better condition. And as long as the car has been serviced well throughout the ownership by this couple, the car could see well over 250,000 miles.

With a little work the first one could be fixed up to look better. Although I have an 89 carbed car with 171,000 miles that was maintained also and it runs great!

True... But, then I'd ask myself why that engine needed a complete overhaul... Just by looking at the pictures of it being beat up like it is... I can guess why.

I'd rather have an efi, but judging by the condition of both vehicles.....I'll take the second one in a minute. That first one has been beat up and run hard. White car wins, hands down imo.

You do not know how well the engine was rebuilt either! I'd stick with the factory built engine myself.

the white one without a doubt, but like elcamino said, you'd do better by just holding out.

Thanks for all the advice. So I'm sorry if this affends anybody here, but I'm not buying a festiva seriously, its more of a joke for me and my friends to mess around with so we don't wess up our good cars. If I got either it probably wouldn't stay in tha tcondition for long.
