My Experience Today...

So today, me and my dad went off to a junkyard to look for festivas, and we found a total of 3, one blue L that had nothing left good on it except center caps that were a little rusty, then a red L that didn't have one good piece on it anymore. It was all dented up, had A/C but it was all tore out . But then we found a black GL, the interior looked clean, had a cargo cover, bad auto tranny, good 1.3L, all the wheels were missing, but it had a hatch wiper, and a SUNROOF! I just about wet myself when my dad told me it had that, the car had some rust in the usual places, but not the worst, I went in the office and asked them how much, and they said $300, So I talked to my dad for a while and he told me to offer them $150(I know, right) Then he wouldn't budge from $300, his excuse was that he could get $50 for each window in it?! I didn't buy it, I want to see what you guys think first!

Go back and offer him $50 for the window on the roof, if its a factory sunroof.

Worth it. You could buy ejp's auto tranny and have a desirable car. Some of the people only look at what a part is worth, but what is it worth to have a running car with these parts on it already? A little work and if you decide to sell it later when gas goes back up, you'll have a car thats worth more because not everyone can drive a stick.

but the biggest reason I am into festivas are for the MPG'S so I would want a stick, but I could always transfer a stick into it. And if I had this car, I could do my dream, and put a red ATH body kit on it.

Like someone else said, go offer him 200. I dont think 50 for the glass is too outrageous. I think I paid 40 or 45 for mine shipped. Just remember everyday another one is lost to the crusher. Everyone thats lost like that is 1 less for us to get parts from. We cant expect Freshtiva to save them all.

Do what the other guys are saying...Take $200 and wave it in his face. Sounds like it's worth saving, plus it's BLACK!

So offer him $200, and then if he does not take it, I will offer him $250, and if he still doesn't take it, buy it for the full $300?
