I hope gas goes back to $4/gal. Apparently thats what it takes for people to stop wasting resources ! I want the SUV owners to suffer more. Esp the ones driving alone, hauling nothing, and speeding on the hwy in their four wheel drives. 99 % of the time they dont need the 3 ton vehicle. Its all about image, fitting in, and being in the click. I hope they choke on their excesses someday.

Fresh...ditto to everything you said, but with more pain toward the SUV bozos.

Slow...I didn't realize it was an air gun... Cool dude! I got a buddy in Seattle that LIVES for that stuff.

The OPEC countries have cut back production, to reduce the supply of oil on the market, hoping to drive up the cost of a barrel of oil to support their economies.
Which are not bring in the amount of cash that $147/barrel at the then larger volume they were pumping.
Nice to see them suffering from the economic melt down too!
Yeah, blame "big oil", I assume you also blame "big government" for the rest of the problems you don't blame on "big oil"!
It's nice to live in a simple world like that I bet!

I just find it fascinating when people can't be bothered to keep-up with world events and then make some simple minded pronouncement like "big oil is squeezing us ......."!

PU: Oh...okay then. I'm sure he was just expressing his displeasure with the whole thing in a simple way?...

Fresh: I hope gas goes back up to $4.00 a gallon too. Everyday I'm walking my dog out there, I get passed at lesat once by some enormous 4x4 truck with straight pipes, blasting down the drag (sounding fast, but really just loud, and dumping on the gas) Always alone, nothing in the bed, beyond stupid and wastefull. All I can do is ask "why"

Then there's the occasional truck-boy who parks right on my festy bumper at the light, revving the motor, thinking he's so cool for messing with such a little car.

They've all watched too much moster truck and WWF IMHO.

                        festyxfi,
Need for it to stay low so I can expand my fleet at bargain basement prices.
I'm sure you have/will take advantage of this lull in gas prices when people for whatever reason choose to get rid of their festivas, and in your case metros.

I never want to see the gas price go up. It just costs me more. Call me selfish but that's me. I have a Festiva that gets good gas mileage but it's still not free to drive. $4 a gallon gas costs me twice as much as $2 a gallon gas. Also i have an 86 f250 with a thirsty carbed 460 in it. I love to take it out in the hills or haul the camper up the mountain for a weekend. Even at $1.54 a gallon (current price here) It's expensive to drive the pickup. At $4 a gallon it's expensive to start it.

PU, oh yeah...been building up the herd for months now.

                            4 festivas and 6 metros (5 XFi's)

I would like gas to at least breech $3.00 a gallon, that REALLY gets the peeps scared (and buying!)

                            I know, it's morbid....

                            Always hunting for more rust-frees

Well, I hope gas stays cheap so I can have more chances at more Festivas, and Festiva parts.

I also hope it goes back up, so people will stay serious about energy conservation.

Hmmm, I'll be glad and sad no matter what gas prices do!

I found this article on yahoo this morningL

Interesting how OPEC calls it "stabilizing the market" while peep call it raising the price
