guys, they stick it on an emissions dyno, not HP dyno. It measures the mass of exhaust gases over a set distance at varying engine loads. Many US states have the same tests, called IM240 (Inspection/Maintenance, 240 seconds).Jim DeAngelis

That sucks it failed but i'm sure you'll get it to pass!!
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

We should be okay after a tune and 'maybe' a 2nd cat / injector downsize / boost control / exhaust resrtiction.
One step at a time now. Will have to wait another 3 weeks to get in....
Edit: If you can see the differences- a 96 would almost be a shoe-in. At least I don't have to pass Euro 4...

Not wrong.
An update.
I have been speaking to yet another engineer. Only THIS ONE wants to engineer the wheels, steering wheel and the big one- HARNESSES. Now i'm kinda spewing about the cost / time / stress of buying them new.
Regardless, this guy seems genuinely interested to get it through (so was the last one) but this guy is also a fabricator, electrician, tuner and engineer AND he lives 10 minutes from home..
His mate works for the NSW police and is requesting further information regarding the harnesses.
We have also discussed a dyno day to get the tune right, which could be as early as next week.
Sounds to good to be true? <<and I know the saying, so i hope this pulls through...
