Prices. I wouldn't mind at all paying $300 for a good engine as close to home as this one. It's just that I would hate to go thru all that work (it's work for me) only to find out it wasn't much better than the one in the car, and not up to the job. Probably best to find a complete car that runs and drives. I could take the engine out of my 90 but I hate to "disrespect" my first Festiva. I have an embarrassing amount of $ in it too. On the other hand, like someone here said, "All the turkeys can't be your pet on Thanksgiving Day."
