I am pretty sure what the answer is going to be but here goes...
I've taken a buy-out package and we're moving but my wife says "Buster" (1990 Festiva Plus w/168k) can't Go but I'm struggling with what to do. We've always owned VW Tdi's and have two currently. One is on the block with "Buster", it's a 1998 Beetle Tdi, 5-sp, w/126k on the clock. I've gone back and forth three times now and I'm back to saying "Buster" is going to the new house (and the 1998 Beetle goes to a new home). I love the Festiva, 5 speed, air that works and 40+ miles to the gallon. If I keep Buster I've found a engine with 38k for $350.00 and I'm sure I have enough paint to repaint him white (the original color) and he's good to go and will kill the Beetle as for as operational costs (insurance/taxes/fuel). He'll actually be a a third car back-up and I can bank the money from the Beetle. I'm sure your vote is going to be the same as mine so le'me here your opinion. (Don't worry, I have the last word. If I say Buster goes to the Country Club, he's going. Screw the neighbors. He's a Champ!)
