    gasket

    anyone know where i can purchase the gasket under the distributor cap for 90-93 festiva?
    newport tn
    88 262,000 4spd hit in rear
    91 224,000 5spd daily driver since 2000

        www.rockauto.com Fel Pro Part number 35608 will work for all 88 - 93 Festivas.

        Chances are none of the local parts stores will have it. Try having them look it up with a 91-96 Escort or 94 - 97 Aspire. I found a few parts that way even though they should be cross referenced to work with Festivas.

          Sweet! I will try that. Got to say I got worried when I saw you replied. I was thinking aww crap! I overlooked a previous thread! Whew but I was wrong. Thanks for the part number!

          Hey..it looks like the napa guy found it. Monsoon just to confirm, in the Napa parts directory it's called a distributor cap mounting o-ring. Doing this over the phone, so I want to make sure that sounds right. The napa guy thought this o ring sat at the base of the distributor itself and not between the cap and the distrib. I told him no it should sit at the base of the cap.

            HEY! I dont always jump on people about their posts. Besides this 1 didnt look familiar.
            I have found the same thing with some of the relays as well. The headlight relay from 91 - 96 Escorts is the same thing, you just have to remove a little tab on the Escort one for it to fit.

              that woulda been a nice tid bit to know I just tried to get the headlamp relays monday and they arnt even in the system

              The plugs and pins line up perfectly then? Do you still have to order left and right sides respectively?

                Didnt know there was more than 1 headlamp relay.When I got mine and put it in they both started working. With the exception of that one tab(youll know it when you see it) you have to break off its a perfect match.

                  I thought there were two - there are two relays behind the batt by the left head lamp - I thought those were the headlamp relays (The ex has my festiva books and wont give them up)

                    According to the Haynes manual theres only 1 and 1 for the Parking lamps also. That may be the one youre thinking of.
