To reduce the noise of things rattling around, my glovebox, map pockets and console are lined with felt....I would think it would work in the underseat tray, etc.

I don't want to take this too off-topic, but speaking of "storage" stuff, does anyone know what those two extra ropes that feed to the underside of the cargo cover are supposed to hook up to?

There are special tie downs that they hook onto.
I posted a picture of them before. There are two different kinds. If you dont have them you can hook the cords onto the hook that your back seat latches on.

What exactly attaches to these?

I have the long strings' loops hooked around the circular "posts" at the top side of the window, so that when I open the hatch, the cover is lifted up. But the lower strings look too short to hook to anything but perhaps a hook near the rear speaker areas. Do those black clips (link above) do anything?
