    • Not sure what the exact name for it is but I'm pretty sure it's a wheel well splash guard shim.

Looks like I took too long trying to find the correct name for the part.

One hint... there are four of them on a stock Festiva.
there are 6 of them on the FI cars. 2 on the sub shield that protects the washer reservoir

                    • Good guess. It is a filter, but not for fuel. Guess again.

Or did you just guess that I was chroming my power steering fluid reservoir next?

At first I wasn't positive that it was a filter. When you posted that it was indeed a filter and knowing from your previous posts that you had power steering (I don't), and also your previous post about cutting the ac receiver dryer apart to see what was inside, it became obvious.

Speaking of Chrome...what I would like to see is a custom made chrome colored steering wheel center piece insert with the Festiva Logo inlaid in gold.

                              • The giveaway was the hole for the cotter pin to hold it in place.

If someone could find the article of how to take apart a Momo horn button, I would certainly insert a Festiva Logo. You are probably thinking about vacuum metallizing. It looks like chrome plating. The Ford badges are vacuum metallized by Bee Chemical in Lansing, Illinois.
