      What do you mean build it, my festivas automatic isn't pnp with the b8 like the 5 speeds are???

        nope, the B3 auto trans should be built up a bit before being put behind the B8. the B8 trans is computer controled, so they don't PnP.

          The PDF on how to do it where apparantly lost on the switch to the new site, do you have a copy of them? Or just explain what you meen by beefed up? Does it add computer controls to the festiva atx? Or what?

            sorry, i do not. i wouldn't get discouraged by the B8 trans, if you're using the b8 ECU, you just need the harness to go with it (seperate plug). i'm currently working on a BP auto swap for an aspire, it's almost PnP. i think some mount relocation may be in order, but the rest seems to be all there.

              So what all did you have to do for the tranny on the aspire to make it work with the bp? If I did a b6 sohc would I have to change anything? How many Hp to those have?

                BP aspire hasn't happened yet... still getting my ducks in a row.

                a B6 swap will give you another 20hp (about), and you don't have to touch the stock trans.

                  Hmm, I may stick with the b6, unless someone can help with tranny, I guess I've till next summer to decide (car will be unuesed while I'm at college)
