It's just a stick with bumps on it. :-) Fuel delivery type should make no difference.

All the cams for the sohc b3/b6 that I've seen have the lobe for the fuel pump, so they should work.

By this do you mean the Aspire top end?

if you are using it with a carb'd engine

i do not think you would be worried with roller rockers, so why ask?

the aspire roller tipped rockers can destroy the lobes on the cam.

DJ, i'm thinking FMS should be a bit more spicific about the rockers and specify that the flat tappit hydrolic rockers be used (aspires are hydro as well).

If you have an '88 carbed then I believe you should have mechanical adjustable rockers. (someone correct me if this is wrong). The FMS cams are for HLA's only. All you need to convert is the rocker shafts, rockers and HLA's from a later model EFI engine.

Yes. But I don't think you have to change the head if your '88 is OK. All you should have to do is use the shaft & rocker assemblies off the '92 head. I believe it should bolt on to the '88 head without issues (once again, someone correct me if I'm wrong!). I do not know if the springs in the '88 head are weaker or more susceptible to coil bind than the later model EFI springs. You should double check for coil bind before firing it up.
