      a little off topic but will the fms cam work in a 2nd gen b6?

        ^ yes.

        you'll not have issues with coil bind.
        Trees aren't kind to me...

I believe it should bolt on to the '88 head without issues (once again, someone correct me if I'm wrong!). I do not know if the springs in the '88 head are weaker or more susceptible to coil bind than the later model EFI springs. You should double check for coil bind before firing it up.

              i dont see where to click to edit my post, but I wanted to change it to ...

              are the heads for the carbed and efi interchangeable, with one having the mech. fuel pump and the other not?

                they are just the efi has a diffrent cam after 30 mins you cant edit them

                    Do the newer heads have a bolck off plate where the older carbie heads have fuel pumps??

                    I don't think so.

                    The cam will fit any b3/b6 8 valve motor....

                    I have used my competion cam on a set of HLA aspire arms with no ill effects...

                      yeah but Wes, what springs were you using?

                      and yes there's a block off plate on the efi heads that will accept a carb fuel pump.
                      Trees aren't kind to me...
