  • How long have you owned your Festy?

The oldest Festy thread got me wondering. How long have most people owned their Festiva. I bought Mine (Peewee) new, May 16, 1990.
So I've had it for 19 years 4 months

I bought Big Red, a 1993, in May 1995, so over 14 years now we've been together, longer than most relationships I'd say!

Let's see, Batstiva I had for 10 years, let her go, got her back, so second time is for 8 months or so. But, the guy I sold her to never retitled her, so technically she was mine the whole time.

My 'new' one, I've had for a couple of months now.

If I can get my %&$ camera to work I will post pics of it with the new rims and tires. The Enkei 92's that a couple people have asked me about.

I bought mine January 1998, three months after build date.
That would make it 11 years, 8 months!

That's right! Yes, bought her new off the lot on Sept 3, 1988, so she just turned 21 (although the build date is June, 1988- I count the day I bought it as it's birthday).

Planning a cross country trip in about 3 weeks-- at 208,000 miles, I hope she's up for it.

Congratulations Deathegg. So far we are the longest owners of our cars. Mine has 264,000+ miles. I just replaced the trans due to failure and replaced the motor due to getting a good deal on the pair. Old motor ran good but leaked oil. As you, I also count the day of purchase as Peewee's Birthday. Also I'm just finishing up a cleanup of the interior. Totally gutted it except for the drivers seat, door panel so I could still drive it to work. Replaced the worn out seats ,cleaned up the panels and dash. Next is paint (exterior), but may be after first of year when I get my tax refund.
