        Nice find!

        I'm with the others, ditch the original engine for parts and put in a better one; preferably a bigger one!

        Get your baby running and earning its keep!

        Think 30+ mpg!!

          My chin hit the floor when I saw those clutch pics! WOW! I've blown out clutches, busted trannys and engines, and i've never seen a clutch disc that looked like that!

                Hell, I never saw the pic and I was there.
                As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for the smell of the clutch burning I wouldn't have found my way to Brian's house as easily as I did.

                  well the original plan was to try to get this engine running to get around with it untill i got the cash to do a swap, now im sure im going to just save the money i have to do at least a b6 swap

                    well after tearing the engine apart a little more i have found a couple things interesting...there was an intake runner full of water...hows that happen? the mains and rod bearings looked great, the 1 and 4 piston were stuck to the piston walls tho

                          the swap was set in stone after the clutch situation..., i was just bored this evening and tore it down to this...
