eric, a couple times ive cleaned my carpet, but instead of that way i took it out, took it down to the car wash, those floor mat holders work great to hold up the carpet and about 5 dollars later you have a very clean carpet
How long did it take to take the carpet out and vice-versa?
depends on skills i suppose, i had a sunfire it took at least an hour to get out, depending on weather let it sit for 3 or so hrs to get most of the moisture out of it then depending on what else you do while putting it back in, i know with me i see something else i want to address and get way off on that then go back to finishing the carpet... as far as what to take off, just a quick list of common parts
door sill plates
console
seatbelts
quarter panel plastic(usually you can just pull one clip off the bottoms and pull right out)
front and back seats
kick panels
there may be more or less to take off depending on the vehicle
