I paid $400 for mine and it has a pretty good rust problem (it's going to need surgery).

For $300, I think it's a good deal. Dent and all.

+1. Mine are rusty, but I decided that I'm going to wait 'til I do the Aspire swap in the Spring to replace them. Don't wait. I popped one last week in traffic. Pedal went all the way to the floor. How I didn't rear end someone, I don't know.

      That was my plan.

Yeah, I've read your build and can I say that WOW you did a great job restoring that car. I realize the small parts will add up, but I'm looking at the 100% necessary parts for now. I get paid weekly and make decent enough money to have this car immaculate rather quickly, I just don't want it to nickel and dime me. i want it really clean, how it should be.

This car is literally 7 minutes from my house.

So, for about the same price as a fully-loaded 1993 Ford Festiva, you could also wield the power to obliterate a small village in the blink of an eye.

The 300 would be for it running, but having a mysterious tranny problem, which again I suspect is the clutch as it goes into all the gears.

Caleb...I believe it is going to be a 4 speed too....unless it has been changed. Sitting where it is...I would venture a guess that it will be really tough to get it rolling. @ years is a long time for rust to build and lock up the wheels. Brake lines and fuel lines should be a high priority.

Good looking out Geneva. The car has 6 gears though 1-5 and R. I was kind of shocked to be honest.

Mine is an '88, and it has the rear defrost and a 5-speed. It's an LX, maybe that one is too?

Quite possibly. Does yours have the factory air?
