  • Brand New to Fordfestiva.com!!

I just wanted to say hello to everyone on here ccasion7: I am new to festivas. I have an 87 mustang gt 37,000 miles and a 95 mustang gt. both modified a bit But now my brother and I need a Track car. Got to say I thought festiva's were the bees knees the second i saw one lol. I've read up a bit and tomorrow we are picking up a 92 capri turbo for 500 bucks 100k on odo but i think turbo seals are out. We havent bought a festiva yet so any suggestions on what we need to look for festiva wise? 1990+ right? and what mistakes i shouldnt make haha. any opinion is appreciated but mostly HELLO ALL and am excited to join the club ~!!!

Welcome. I like it. You buy the swap first, then find a suitable car to put it in. You're off to a good start. The hard part is done. :O)

Welcome Aboard!! Sounds like you are off to a good start. And yes, you will want to stick with a 90 or later. Already being an FI car will make things easier down the road. Keep us posted on your progress. And please, please remember, when you snag your stiva, we like pictures!!

When you say track car do you mean autoX or drag?

The auto(when modified) is great for the drag for the consistency and ability to produce boost while stopped, while the 4speed would be best for the autocross as its lighter & you wont need the overdrive in that setting.

All around fun would be the5 speed fuel injected.

If your wanting extra handling & brakes find an aspire

If you find a carby car you need to get a FI fuel tank & lines in addition to the wiring
