I know the car is in good shape and not too bad of a fix. Whether to swap in another auto or change it over to a 5 speed (have all the parts)I don't know. But the frustration is it seems like everytime I fix one thing something new pops up. I am just tired of working on THIS car and it seems never ending. I pushed it aside for now, I'll either decide to fix it or if nobody gives me a decent offer I might just strip it for parts.

^^ I've been where you are at now, but for different reasons. I definitely second, or third, or whatever the notion of pushing it off to the side, and cooling off before you decide what to do.

Sounds like a bad day, no doubt. Glad no one was hurt.

I had a lower rad hose leak yesterday. Figured it was a loose clamp. Go to tighten the clamp and find that the slotted head is up against the a/c compressor. No way to get a screw driver on it. Had to hacksaw the clamp off. Since the clamp was depressed on the hose I ruined the hose too. Called four McAuto parts, none had a lower rad hose. Go dig through my piles of part and found four upper hoses but no lower. Busted a knucked on the rad getting the hose off. Of course at five degrees my hands were already numb from the antifreeze which seems to also work as a clotting agent. An hour later I completed the repair with a used hose off of another car. The cold/snow seems to compound every little problem. Come on spring.

ok, sunshine... let it sit till spring OhioStiva, and I'll come up a day or two early and swap the drivetrain for you. Get busy on that B6T, and we'll plop that in the green one at the same time.

I was thinking of a burning at the stake, an offering to the Festiva gods!!!:angryfire:
But Jim has some common sense so it'll probably sit and when I pull out the drivetrain out of my green car I'll drop the whole thing in the red car.

Is that why my heater hose magically started leaking. The clamps were tight to. Wasn't hard to fix but had to cut the hose to get it off. 15 minutes in this weather was bad enough wouldn't be able to do the hour. Still burning the antifreeze off the cat.

You HAVE to get this car running again. The idea that the owner of FordFestiva.com would give up on a Festiva just ain't right

ANY of us can get that frustrated!!!!! How about spending two months, and swapping every known front end piece while ruining the last set of Falken 175/60/13 I could find, only to find out that a brand new GR2 front strut was blown out!!!!
Maybe I should get in on the ATX to 5 Spd swap party in the Spring. Smurffy HAS to have this done next year before I give up on Rasta's shell, and have a strip party as a going away.
This would be better than any stinking windshield replacement!!!!

Keep the faith, Brian. I HATE WINTER!!!!!!!
