I changed mine out on my first Festy at 185,000, just because I had never heard of a clutch that could go that far. It still had 1/4 to 1/3 of the clutch plate left. So it could have gone quite a while yet. Of course it all depends on how you drive them. If it's not slipping and the throw out bearing isn't whining, I'd leave it.

Ya, I think I'm gonna just wait till the weather warms up a bit. I am gonna start putting alot of miles on the car in the near future, but the clutch feels fine and as good as it runs and drives I think it will be just fine.
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the clutch:
When I come to a red light or stop sign and push the clutch in, then shift to first, I can hear a slight whine (pedal still all the way down).
Is this normal, or is something loose/wearing out?

I don't know if it is normal, but my '89 did that.

My first Festiva had in excess of 200k when I sold it. The original clutch was still holding up great, even after I taught myself and several other people to drive a stick in it...
