  • Tax Refund

Well all - It's that time again... What are you going to do with your tax refund from the government?

I got bit last year from the way I filled out my W4... Luckily we had that $8,000 tax credit that worked in my favor. Without that, I would've ended up paying in $77.00... So after that, I changed my witholding amounts.

Filed online last night and looks like I'll get a return of $1,702. The best part? It was "accepted" by the government this AM, so it should be into my account the first week of February!

As far as how it's going to be spent:
    1. Pay off debt to dad ($650~)
    2. Personal taxes ($300)
    3. Pay for a portion of the fenders for my Jeep

I had an incident which involved my fender flare ripping off at 50 MPH on my way home from lunch the other week... So I've been running flareless, except PA laws don't like that much. Instead of dripping $400 on another set of flares that will crack, break, or do the same thing in 2 years, I'm going to invest into flat tube fenders (plus - they look SICK).

MetalCloak tube fenders... Undecided if I want to go with a 4" or 6" flare... But both of them are removable, so I can yank them whenever I want to hit the trails, so that's a huge perk. Front and rears run $1,100... :tard:

Going to take some getting used to, but after this year, I'll lose the child tax credit on my twins.

i had a kid this year, got something to the tune of $5200 coming in.

Most is going towards savings, some towards festiva parts and a chunk is going towards dropping a 5.0/t5 into my bmw.

I think I might cry when I do mine.. not sure if I set my with-holdings right. But with the boy and all the medical bills I might just be even.

My old lady said that we are getting about 8 grand from federal and another 1500 from state. So I told her I am lazy so the festiva is going to the shop fo get the oil leak fixed. I have been putting it off since I am suppose to leave next month for 7 months. At least with the oil leak fixed then I can get her off my back and start really doing some mods. I know it wont take all the money so my wife and I plan on paying off the credit cards and buying the four kids a playground. Of course we are going to save what we can. I just cant wait to get the old festy fixed and I dont have to worry about having the time.

Should be getting back a little over 5k, so going to put the Festiva in the shop to get it running right, since I dont have the time and can't figure out whats wrong with it. Like everyone else I am also going to pay off some bills.
