I paid $900 for mine a little over a year ago. It has some body damage but luckily no rust and it runs GREAT! I thought the price of mine was a little high based on the body but when I saw how good it ran I jumped on it. I don't know about your area, but around here $1000 dollars seems to be the average price...unless you know someone selling one and can get the "friends and family" deal. I look for them on Craigslist all the time and prices here range from $800 - $1200. You can find beaters cheaper but they're typically pretty rough and usually have engine problems.
If she runs good and the rust is repairable I say grab it. But be warned; Festivas are like Lay's potato chips....you can't stop at just one

I paid $1680 for mine. Sold to me like it was a great car. Test drove it, no problems. Then adding almost 3K later, the passenger side door flaps like a bird even when it's closed, I have frame rot, and I'm getting 16MPG's. BUT, none of this matters to me, honestly. It's just a reason to upgrade it to the best car around! In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
