  • Brought another one home

Brought home a white 89 GL carbureted 4-spd tan interior for free since the kid just wanted it off his property with an load of parts.

2 sets of 12 inch wheels with all the chrome rings and caps and studded snow tires, half of a grey interior from another car, pacesetter short throw shifter still in box, and a ton of misc gasket kits, new brake parts, bosal muffler, spare b3 complete cylinder head, and a few more parts but i didnt look too hard since it was freezing outside and i just wanted to get it home.

Currently its not running but it was last year before he tried to replace the water pump and timing belt.

Interior is perfect but a bit dirty, nothing a vacuum and a little armorall cant fix.

The body is a little worse for wear but looks relatively sound but it was free so i didnt care, havnt gotten a chance to get under it to really know for sure.

If i do a project i think i wanna "borrow" the 400 SBC from my dads nova and figure something out for a tranny and make it mid engine.

Which would you guys do, sell it as is, fix it and sell it, or project car?
It's not the size that counts....It's how you use it.

Welcome to the site! I'd say fix it and fall in love with it. There's so much you can do with these cars, and going to meets is one of the great benefits of being on this forum.

ive had other festys over the last few eears and loved them just for the gas mileage and invisibility compared to my eclipse but never did much searchin and found this site over the summer looking for parts and got hooked on reading, and the amount of things ive read on here on what people have done to them is phenomenal, i gotta say ive seen more different setups on here than on any other car forum ive been on, i was contemplating on an awd 4g63 setup in my 90 L but im just gonna BP-T and g25m-r it since its in perfect condition and i dont wanna cut it apart much, ill start with the ones in lesser shape first.

The people around here are hell bent on hondas. Then if i tell my dad to get into them he tells me put a v8 in it and hell think about it so thats where the 400 comes into play but im not sure between school and work time is limited. But its always fun to be different

It was probably swapped out at some point. Given the wonderful salt used on the roads up there and the effects it has on cars.
Looks good though. Nice grab! :thumbleft:

Yeah the hatch was probably added, thats probably why the rear wiper wasn't hooked up because the PO didn't want to mess with hooking it up.
