They didn't make GL's in 89, must have swapped the hatch

Looks good though. Nice grab! :thumbleft:
point taken i didnt think of that, according to my friends father that bought the car origionally somewhere in the early 90s from his brother i believe is what he said theres nothing replaced on it except the driver side quarter got smacked in 96 so the window and the quarter were fixed but it looks very close to the hatch where the bondo is coming up so it probably was. Or he just put the decal on there one of the two since i dont think they specially made a GL a few years early

It's not the size that counts....It's how you use it.

These 2 lists have all the options and a breakdown of what models were available what years...

89 models were either L, L-Plus, or LX
Hard to tell from the pics but I think it might be an L-plus. Do you have a tach cluster?

i took the rear wiper out earlier today before i snapped the pics since the one in my 90 stopped working and this one did

that would make more sense considering the year, oh well its still a festy. the guy i got it from added conveinience features over the years, i got my 90 L off him too which was his baby and he added pretty much every option but AC and power mirrors but i have no complaints except the greenhouse effect driving in the summer but thats nothing a little tint cant fix

Considering all the money you've got tied up in it, I'd say it was a good deal, L, GL, or whatever.
