    Did Festivas come with two seperate keys; one for ignition and one for
    door locks or just one key to fit both? THANKS

    One key fits all.

    Also some keys will fit other Festiva doors and every key I have try ed will fit the gas lock

      Here's another key question. What was the plastic key used for?

            Since were on Keys....


            Is it easy to get new keys cut for these... can I just take my VIN to Ford and get a spare made?

                If you have the key to the car, just take it into a hardware store and they can cut a key.

                  If you don't have a key for the car:

                  Pull your passenger side door lock cylinder. There is a 4 digit code stamped on it. Give that code to a locksmith and he can cut a new key for the car. I just had this done about a month ago. I got 2 new keys for 20 bucks.
                  If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

                      Speaking of keys reminds me of something Mark. Try not to lose the key to my car.....I haven't made a copy of it yet!! Haha

                              One key for the whole car - vallet key will only open the driver door and run the ignition - if you had a plastic key it was a lock out key
