Here's another key question. What was the plastic key used for?

Is it easy to get new keys cut for these... can I just take my VIN to Ford and get a spare made?
Thanks'
Travis
If you don't have a key for the car:
Pull your passenger side door lock cylinder. There is a 4 digit code stamped on it. Give that code to a locksmith and he can cut a new key for the car. I just had this done about a month ago. I got 2 new keys for 20 bucks.
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

Speaking of keys reminds me of something Mark. Try not to lose the key to my car.....I haven't made a copy of it yet!! Haha
