I got my Craftsman 33 gallon air compressor up and running this morning. I followed the break-in procedures.
Put on my $4.99 HF mini die grinder and went to work on my air plenum, to widen the intake hole for the 60mm Protege TB. I used a little oval shaped rasp looking thingy to grind with.
I did most of the hogging out work. Sunday I'll finish up and smooth the roughness a tad with sandpaper and emory.
It took me about 45 minutes I think. First time I've worked with an air tool (besides tyre inflation).
Yep, I drained the tank at the end. I also turned off the motor a bit early and used up most of the tank air pressure to grind with. No sense wasting good air!
Damn if I ain't feeling like a real Festiva Mechanic now.
Whoah, I meant a FESTIVA ARTISTE!
