  • supd up DD? anyone?

ok maybe I just havent found it but it seems like most people on here kind of just do the engine swapping and modding on project cars and not their daily driver cars, soo prove me wrong cus i only have one car to ruin and it would be comforting to know that there are others as stupid as I.

Mine has been my DD for 5 years. And when I turboed it, still DD. Then a 4 day weekend it was a b8 turbo and still a DD. Now it's gonna be a bprt and I refuse to drive anything else. I'm thankful I've had Tom's to DD everyday, since mine is in process.

Hope this helps. Mine has always and will always be a dd

Read anything you can. Just to let you know 1 week after I installed my b8 I drove on a 2800 mile trip. No issues.......except a broken axle (my fault) at the drags...

stock tranny with a spec clutch (the one in Tom's car) Just a hard lauch and some wheel hop. It was an advance auto parts lifetime warranty so it was replaced by the next morning.

^ use the edit button. You can modify a post upto 30 minutes from when you post it. Sounds like you got it all worked out. You will need a good clutch if you plan on using the gas pedal. lol

Keep us posted and I hope you know that those wheels won't fit without the aspire brake swap.

                      Just trying to help.

You can get much better mileage out of any car, mainly by how you drive it, and little tricks like taller tires and advancing ignition timing a little. My stock 1.3 5-speed Festy got 58 MPG at a constant 55 MPH for example. And in city-street driving, I used hypermiling techniques to get 50.1 MPG.
