Since originally reading this thread I've been doing some reading on this and it looks like The Super Tech filter is actually produced by Purolator and/or Champion Labs (not affiliated with Champion spark plugs).

Purolator makes and private brands the following filters - Bosch, Motorcraft, PowerFlo, ProLine, Purolator Premium Plus, Purolator Pure One, and Quaker State.

Champion Labs makes the following filters - Bosch, Car and Driver, Champ, Deutsch, STP, K&N, and Mobil 1

Either way you're getting a good filter with the Super Tech. The closest review from an oil filter comparison was this:

    Bosch -
This used to be another Champion Labs filter sold at Auto Zone, but now it is made by Purolator. It has an impressive surface area and uses a cellulose/synthetic blend media. This should result in well-above average holding capacity. I generally like the Purolator design as well, so I wouldn't hesitate using a Bosch after verifying it was still a Purolator.
I've always ran Motorcraft filters (also made by Purolator) so I think now I can make the switch without losing any sleep at night...LOL

Hope it helps other as well
