I don't even know what to say.... Dean will be missed terribly! Please keep Barbara and his family in your thoughts and prayers!

If there was ever a Festiva flag, it would be flying half staff today!

I don't even know where to begin. So sad, Dean was one of the best, most giving people I have ever met. He will be so greatly missed. Other than phone calls and PMs, I only met him at FM3 last year, but he was a great guy. I agree with Britstiva, the Festiva Flags should definitely be at half mast.

Smedley, if there's anything, anything I can do, just say the word. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

It is sad to hear when anyone dies, but the way he helped this community, this is especially tragic. RIP Dean.

I'm still in shock. I was still sleeping when John called me. (I work night shift). I met Dean, Barb and the rest of their family at FM3. Very wonderful people.
My heart goes out to Barb (Smedley) and their family. Dean was one of the nicest people I've met. Barb, if I can help in any way , please let me know.
                    Dean will be greatly missed.

Is there a fund for his family? Maybe a procession of Festivas? If I can help, I will! RIP V8Festiva, I'm sorry I never got the chance to see ya.

I never met him or even talked to him, but from reading his posts he sounded like a great guy who would always help out a fellow Festiva Brother or Sister.

                              R.I.P. Dean

I spoke with him last week about some parts he had and the fun he was having finding parts for others and yes when you spoke to him it was like you were old buds.

Dean, your voice is silent but the spirit lives on.

I am sorry to hear about this loss to his family and our festiva community. I was planning in April on picking up a brake swap that he had pulled for me and he offered to let me and my wife stay at his house so that we could take a vacation in Myrtle Beach.
I only spoke with him through a few PM's but from what I have seen on this site he was a great man and he will be missed by many.
