    Will

PS. On a side note last night on the return trip from Barb & Deans a Focus ZX3 thought that a Festiva would be easy pickens to impress his girl. He thought wrong! I left him by at least an 1/8th mile. I don't think that poor kid will ever live that down.
Ha ha, that whole encounter wasn't alot of fun for the B3 festiva at the end of the line, stuck behind the Ford Exploder either.:p

I've been driving a Festiva for the past 6 years, and my parents STILL call it a Fiesta.

I've basically giving up trying to correct them, and just ignore it.

Now that's funny!! He actually DID HAVE a Fiesta!! LOL

Here's a good one: We stopped by a JY last week and asked the guy if he had any Festivas and he said "no" so then we asked if he had any Aspires and he says "I think there's one down there. You're welcome to go look". When we walk to where he's talking about there are no Aspires but there is a Festiva sitting there...LOL

At least they don't call it a rabbit. I had a guy ask me how i liked my old rabbit. I looked at him in utter awe. All I could think of was Jeff Engal, "Here's your sign!"

Hey, we were only clearing the way for our B3 brothers!
Didn't we slow down and wait for everyone else?
We could have boxed him in and let you oil cover him.

Even people who deal with cars every day call my Festiva a Fiesta. I work for the re-marketing department of a rental car company. The salesmen that I work with have dealt with every kind of car there is. The company used to rent Festivas and these guys remember selling them, but they still call them Fiestas. I've given up on correcting them. Now, I just let it go.

What irritates me more than people calling them fiestas is them saying "oh whatever" when you correct them. I mean I've known for 2 decades that 99.9% of people have no clue of the legend that is festiva. But I still want to just shake them and say hey! idiot! It's a legend and for good cause!

that is exactly what happened this afternoon. my friend sitting next to me says "did you get the tranny in your fiesta yet?" i was like, no, and its a festiva not a fiesta.

                    hes like "festiva fiesta whatever"

Lately I've been finding people that call them "festys" but they're usually festiva owners or have been in the past.

"Look at that, makes me miss my festy"....

I think it's a simular reason they call "westifalias" "westys" it's just easier.

i drag race my car almost every week... ive been called: metro, yugo, fiat, civic, 323, tracer, tracel, fiesta, wich is even more irritating for me because of th 9"x3" ford emblem i attached to the grill of my car...im serious you can read "Ford" inside that oval from a good 30' away...but one of the guys at the track is always correcting people and and well a 13 second front wheel drive speaks for itself...he had a 350z in the other lane roll down their window so he could say "youre about to get beat by that little festiva....how does that make you feel?"

but by far the most irritating thing is when r-tards call my fiero a crx or and mr2...

I've had several people call mine a Fiesta. It was because in the late 70's early 80's ford had a Fiesta. With a similar shape. Most people don't seem to realize that its a different car. For the young folks that aren't old enough to remember them....

It's about to get even more confusing for them, in 2011 the Fiesta badge is actually making a return on a kinda Focus looking platform.
