I tried to shift without the clutch and I can't.
There's a lock in the tranny that wont let you go into a gear without pushing in the clutch.

There's no such lock, you just have to have good timing.
91GL BP/F3A with boost
13.79 @ 100, 2.2 60' on 8 psi and 155R12's
