It doesn't follow any of the Ford lines from the vehicles here, like the Taurus SHO: Boxy yet round, and that gladiator grille. I really think that image would have been much better suited for the granddaughter of a small, boxy vehicle with a 4-speed trans. The Fiesta looks too inflated. I imagine seeing quite a few of those in junkyards in 8 years. I will never look at that car with the same admiration I have for the Festiva. I need to quit giving my $0.02. I'm going to go in debt.

Okay! So, there have been whispers of an SVT version of the Fiesta. The ONLY one I'd buy! And check it out, it's a two-door!

Sorry about the quality. I took the pic out of an Automotive magazine. Tried to find other pics online, but to no avail.

                    That one's not bad.
The other picture of the green one was ..eh.
The car looks large and round. To quote an earlier post "inflated."

I love Ford's 2011 line up. I even like the Taurus and I used to HATE those ugly things.
I don't much care for GM's new line up (or anything they've done in 20 years). I don't know what the heck they're doing, but it sucks.

I agree. Honestly, I thought that the Aspire and the Focus hatchback were as well, but some of those have been turned into really fast cars. The one thing that I like is that Ford has finally put it's SVT performance team on a subcompact, even though the claim is that the overall design was their idea, and isn't. Ford sold the two-door in Europe last year, simply as the two-door. It makes me wonder if SVT has truly turned the car up, or if they're simply offering what the Brits already know. Wouldn't surprise me.:blob2:

having known John Colletti, and spoken with Tim DeRonne here (former Motorsport/FRP engineer), SVT does MUCH more than rebadge...

Didn't the SVT folks develop the new Raptor F150? The reviews on that are great. Too bad there was never a Festiva SVT!

Jeremy Clarkson could sell me a dirty pair of socks and I'd probably buy them with excitement. So lookie here at his review of this Fiesta!

And somehow, some people are way too excited about this car.
