I had 1 that was a nightmare. It had caught fire after smelling like gas. I've had 5 or 6 dd carved festys that never even hiccuped. But they had never sat. Do the Weber or Escort swap with the welding of the intake manifold for the wider flange. Then throw away all the unnecessary plumbing and computer. Don't use the stock feedback carb. Festy46 has the final word:
