      I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the carbed cars I just have no experience with them in the festys

        I had 1 that was a nightmare. It had caught fire after smelling like gas. I've had 5 or 6 dd carved festys that never even hiccuped. But they had never sat. Make sure you document the vacuum lines if you swap carbs.

          Do the Weber or Escort swap with the welding of the intake manifold for the wider flange. Then throw away all the unnecessary plumbing and computer. Don't use the stock feedback carb. Festy46 has the final word:

              That's good to know does anyone know if a holley 2 barrel could be made to fit? I have a ton of those I am referring to the 4412 style
