Actually I have access to a 16v B8. I was saving it for my GL but..

Bear in mind that B8 and BP swaps require minimal electrical work whereas a b6t is nearly a complete engine harness rebuild. More so with an auto (did the 323GT even have a slushbox option?)

What are you talking about? The wire harness swap is a matter of dropping in the harness and providing power to like four wires. The auto isnt gonna be any more wiring since our autos are not electronically controlled, its the same swap as a manual as far as electronics goes.

But yeah, definitely a good time to change the fluid and filter in the trans. Make sure you pull the converter and drain it while the trans is out. Add a nice big trans cooler since you will be pulling up hills and stuff.

Either swap will make for an enjoyable ride.

When I built mine, I wanted NA power... If I'd redo it, I'd go for the B6T though (or maybe BPT)...
