I like the probe too!! I was just offered a trade on a Probe GT for my 2000 VW New Beetle.... huhm... very tempting!! The probe needs a distributor though.

Go get one from a jy....gt's are schweet dude, I love how much trunk room probes have too, although I whish they would have put a little more rear seet room but oh well. Anyways, beetles are dumb imo

Yep seen 2 on fire and I have only seen like 4 cars in my life (I'm old) on fire. Not good odds.

They mentioned the wheels. I would just replace with something like these.

Lol I had a dodge stratus catch fire...I learned an important lesson about backfiring with it. Apparantly backfiring can litterally cause fire to shoot out the tailpipe...... So ya it was because of wiring issues on the crankshaft position sensor (no disty), and so it wasnt firing right. So I was running to the jy to get a new cps and on the way i smell smoke and look in the rear view mirror and my back end is smokin up a storm!! I had a full 16gallon tank of gas too! Anyways so i get out immediately and the plastic bumper and the carpet rug is on fire. Burnt up the whole back of the car. Lucky the damn thing didnt explode, fortunately the fire department stopped it. so lesson learned....dont drive a chronically backfiring car.
