If you are going to help her buy her a festiva. That way even if it gets ugly her car still runs was cheap, and if she has to give the car back it's something you can do something with.

It's a tough call. I tend to be trusting of people and that typically ends up badly haha. But I think it's awesome you are willing to do this for someone in need.
If you do go for it definitely follow what econoaddict said.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm inclined to say no too. And the full-coverage insurance would also be a financial burden, so probably not a good idea. If you do it anyway, +1 on not expecting the $ back.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna let it slide. I don't want her to have an awesome festy with the chance of ruining it anyway. Wish I needed it!"Lane, I've been going to this high school for seven and a half years. I'm no dummy."

I would buy the GL Sport first, and keep it. You can always offer to help fix her tranny, or locate a used one in a boneyard. I wouldn't offer any money, no matter what!!!Chuck
