You know even kids understand what you are saying when you use a capital letter ("F"). Believe it or not they understand contextual reference. Please consider this in the future. :???:

I think the F is well needed. Even in this section of the board. Its a serious issue.

I might pop out a short message when I'm stopped at a long light or train crossing but never while moving... especially in traffic.

the ONLY time i text in the drivers seat is at a stoplight. if i have to i will pull over and do it. im a damn good driver, but i have yet to meet one good enough to text and drive safely. talking on the phone is fine by me though.

Texting can be done safely. I can text without looking at the screen, BUT My mind is trying to keep track of what I am inputing. Texting is perfectly safe at red lights. I think GPS screens are just as dangerous. Then there is Ford's Sync. I can not answer my cell phone and shift, so I don't.

here on the coast the big problem isnt the teenage kids txting or even talking while driving but the cops watching dvds and youtube or facebooking while driving we were in traffic heavy traffic a few weeks ago and the HP cruiser that was driving just ahead of me was watching Fast & the Furious on his laptop no joke ..i have a class A cdl an if i pulled that they would put me under the jail ..but no joke there has been 4 police car crashes that knowing some guys on the force have been said to be caused by the officers watching a movie or FaceBook while driving ....

Unfortunately, these idiots continue to do so because they think it won't happen to them. I don't know about everybody else, but nothing incenses me more than someone who does this.

All I know is I almost got ran over Dec. 3 by a person on a phone talking. If I hadnt fast reflexes, I would be hurt or in the hospital right now!
The offender had a cell phone stuck to their left ear, making a left turn, did not see me, as phone and left hand was blocking their vision to the left.
I jumped and had to push off the car to avoid getting ran over!
Thats just a phone call, texting is 10X as bad! I should have gotten their license and made a report.

You and me both. I think over the entire life of my current phone (Moto Razor from when they first came out) I've sent a grand total of 4 text messages. All sitting still. I really think if you cause an accident because you were texting and driving, it should be treated the same as an alcohol involved accident.

Yep, seriously. Think I got mine in '03 or '04. Thing has been through hell, and still works. Been dropped from a bucket truck 40ft. up, been left outside and snowed on (don't ask) Most of the black is gone, and it's got a grand total of about 22 hours worth of call. Did I mention that I'm not really a phone guy? Ask Pu241, I think he'll back me up on that.

BTW, I should break 50,000 mintes this month on a phone that will be 2 yrs old in Febuary.

22 hours? You've talked on it for 1320 minutes in the past 6-7 years?!

                            I usually use about 150-200 a month...

Yeah, that's about what I remember from March this year!

I personally have used 308 minutes since 12/3.
Plan with free nights and weekend went away, was on the phone for 6 hours one time on a drive to NY! That is my personnel phone I don't know how many minutes I've used on company phones!

Don't know about that, but I have enough roll over minutes at this point, there is no chance that I will ever use them all.
