I know this thread has gone a little awry but I'd just like to say I stumbled on this a while ago when it was in it's baby stages. I'm proud to see how far it's come and am excited to to think I can install this on my car!
I might get two kits... One for the Festiva and one for the Grand Marquis. For $40, it's a pretty good deal. I can solder pretty well and it should be a fun, easy install. I wish it could show the time as well as current MPGs because that would be awesome to put where the dash clock goes! I could even relocate the buttons to a more accessible part of the dash.
My Grand Marquis' fuel filler neck leaks just inside the fender so if I fill up to the brim, it drips. That's the only way I can reliably calculate mpgs though so this would be an ideal solution.
