I'm not sure the transmission I'm looking for can be identified externally though... it has a super groovy F5MR that I would absolutely kill to be in possession of.
    If the car has a 1.9 I don't think it's going to be a F5M-R. I think the F5M-R and the F25M-R can be found with a B-serie engine

Nope, they're 99% F5M-R's with a different bellhousing to fit the crappy Ford motors.

I had mine broken into at the park n ride in south surrey. They took a rock the size of a basketball and threw it at the window and let is slide down the door. The computers at the insurance wanted to write it off. Luckily the adjuster liked my car and was able to find used glass and a good body shop do the repair.

Darlo, sounds like you have a few options!
One more to give some thought to.
The key doesn't have to work the door lock, great if it does though.
Just swap the passenger side lock into the drivers side then put the "new" lock into the passenger door.
Then you keep the same key to open the drivers door and start the car.
Realistically, how often do you open the passenger door with the key?

That is so funny! I totally thought the same thing, but then dismissed the thought as I didnt think that you could change the sides!

                      Thanks

Row 22... can you check if it's an Escort Pony for me real quick? It'll have no labeling and no options on it... lacking A/C and P/S for example. It'll be a lift/hatch back with no spoiler/fancy bumpers. I'm not sure the transmission I'm looking for can be identified externally though... it has a super groovy F5MR that I would absolutely kill to be in possession of. Don't need you to buy anything, a handful of pictures and five minutes of your time would be splendid though!
So I took a couple of videos of the tranny, but they didnt turn out too well! I took a couple pics of the car and there is a video there with the VIN so you may be able to look it up that way...........Sorry if it isnt quite what you needed

Vid from bottom (rather useless, lol)

Vid from top (had my finger over the ipod's lens for last half HAHA)

Vid of VIN (might be of use)
