    Got my unrestricted license at 14 in SC back in 1958.

    At that time, I remember gas being as low as .18 a gallon during the gas wars.

    Grew up on a farm, so I had been driving tractors, pickup and car around the farm since I was 10. Also we had a 500 gal gas tank for farm use fuel (a little cheaper because of the tax exemption.)
